Jhirna Forest Zone is located near the Dhela Village. The entry gate for this zone is Dhela Gate, which is 20 km from Ramnagar. The Jhirna Forest Rest House has two double bedrooms, making it an excellent option for peace and privacy lovers. This zone is also known for its large population of sloth bears and wild elephants, which can be seen throughout the year. Lucky visitors may even spot a tiger.
There is no restaurant inside the Jhirna Forest Rest House, but a cook is available with kitchen facilities. Guests need to provide raw materials, and the cook will prepare the meals accordingly. Note that only vegetarian food is allowed inside Jim Corbett National Park.
The Jhirna zone features large open grasslands known as "Chaur." It has a dry deciduous type of secondary forest and stream beds that can be explored in the right season. You should not visit the National park during this period of the year cause the weather will not be favorable and there will be road blockages due to rain which will make it impossible to make it through dense Forest. But if the weather condition is good then you can visit this time also cause Jhirna is open throughout the year.
