It is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially during the peak season, as the rest house can get fully booked. Visitors can indulge in various activities like jungle safaris, bird watching, nature walks, and wildlife photography during their stay at the Dhela Forest Rest House.
On Dhela Forest Rest House premises, there’s no restaurant availability, but you will get a cook with all the utensils, stove, and gas available in the kitchen. You have to provide raw materials to the cook, and he will prepare the meals as per your request.

Dhela Forest Zone spreads over 1,173 hectares and is extremely rich in flora and fauna. It has mixed forests of Sal, Rohini, Haldu, Bahera, and Kusum vegetation, and tigers, leopards, Asiatic elephants, sloth bears, and king cobras can be spotted.
You can also spot a variety of trees, including Sheesham, Dhak, Khair, Sisoo, Bel, Kusum, Mahua, Bakli, Jamun, Aamla, and Kanju. Wildlife sightings include the Royal Bengal Tiger, Spotted Deer, Asian Elephant, Barking Deer, Sambar Deer, Chital, Wild Boar, and more. Bird lovers can spot species like Peacock, Jungle Fowl, White Bush Chat, Emerald Dove, and the Asian Paradise Flycatcher.
You can reach Dhela Forest Rest House via Dhela Gate, which is located 20 km from Ramnagar, Uttarakhand. The entry timing to Dhela Zone from Dhela Gate is from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
During the winter season, visitors can spot a variety of beautiful and unseen birds alongside elephants and other wildlife. This is a great time for bird lovers.
It is generally not advisable to visit the National Park during the monsoon season due to unfavorable weather conditions and potential road blockages. However, if the weather permits, the park remains open during this time.
