Dhikala is one of the most popular tourist accommodations in Corbett Tiger Reserve. Herds of elephants and spotted deer pack the vast expanse of the famous Dhikala Chaur. This is probably the best place in the Tiger Reserve to spot the very rare Hog Deer.

Your adventure begins with a scenic journey from the Dhangadi gate, where you'll traverse through lush flora, vast grasslands, dense Sal jungles, and meandering river channels.

The mix of old and new architecture at Dhikala Forest Rest House is a sight to behold, with the old rest house dating back to the British era. Savor delicious buffet meals at the restaurant, offering a variety of quality food options. A small canteen is also available for quick bites.

NOTE: There are four forest rest houses inside the Dhikala Zone for the overnight stay of tourists, which are:

• Sultan FRH
• Gairal FRH
• Sarapduli FRH
• Dhikala FRH

You will stay in any rest house, but the jeep safari will cover the same area in the Dhikala Zone.

Itinerary

Day 01

• You will be picked up at 12 noon from the boarding place, which is Ramnagar.
• Within 20 minutes, we will reach Dhangadi gate and then the forest rest house.
• You will have lunch after check-in; only vegetarian food is allowed for lunch.
• You will go for the evening jeep safari between 02:30 pm – 06:30 pm (Safari timing varies as season changes).
• After the jeep safari, you will have dinner and an overnight stay inside the forest rest house.

Day 2

• Early morning wake-up for the morning jeep safari between 05:30 am – 09:00 am (Safari timing varies as season changes).
• You will have breakfast after the morning safari is over.
• You will have lunch after some rest; only vegetarian food is allowed for lunch.
• You will go for the evening jeep safari between 02:30 pm – 06:30 pm (Safari timing varies as season changes).
• After the jeep safari, you will have dinner and an overnight stay inside the forest rest house.

Day 3

• Early morning wake-up for the morning jeep safari between 05:30 am – 09:00 am (Safari timing varies as season changes).
• You will have breakfast after the morning safari is over.
• You will have lunch after some rest; only vegetarian food is allowed for lunch.
• You will go for the evening jeep safari between 02:30 pm – 06:30 pm (Safari timing varies as season changes).
• After the jeep safari, you will have dinner and an overnight stay inside the forest rest house.

Day 4

• Early morning wake-up for the morning jeep safari between 05:30 am – 09:00 am (Safari timing varies as season changes).
• You will have breakfast after the morning safari is over.
• After breakfast, you have to check out from the forest rest house.
• You will be dropped off at 12 noon at Ramnagar from the forest rest house.

Terms & Conditions

• Package valid from 15th Nov to 15th June.
• Once accommodation permit is generated, advance payment is non-refundable.
• Child below 5 years will be complimentary.
• Pets are not allowed inside the park.
• Don't forget to carry your original ID proofs.

Booking Procedure

1. Names, age, gender, and ID proof number (Driving license / PAN card / Voter ID / passport) of every person is required.
2. 50% of the total package cost is required to submit the application.
3. Availability of rooms shall be confirmed 40 days before the date of arrival.
4. Balance payment to be deposited once we confirm the availability.
5. In case of non-availability of rooms, advance payment will be refunded.
6. We are only making reservations for the rest house. We are not responsible for the quality of services at the rest house, which are operated by the forest department.

About FRH

• Other than Dhikala & Gairal forest rest houses, all the rest houses do not have electricity. Power is provided by generators up till 10 pm.
• Dhikala zone has its 4 rest houses: Dhikala, Gairal, Sarapduli & Sultan.
• Bijrani zone has two rest houses: Bijrani and Malani.
• There is an option of dormitory available at Gairal, Dhikala, and Bijrani rest houses. In case someone is looking for an economical option, dormitory can be provided.
• In case of non-availability of rooms, advance payment will be refunded.
